One of the first ways that China reacted to the virus was by wearing face masks and sheltering in place, but different countries worldwide performed and executed different ways. Though the coronavirus has killed approximately 224,000 people in the U.S., some still thought the practices of China were merely a “violation of human rights.” They also thought it was not a serious problem because younger people were not at high risk. However, what they did not put into consideration is the fact that they are going to carry the virus and possibly spread it to older people that are more susceptible. Therefore, at a time of continued crisis like now, citizens should continue to wear masks and keep social distancing. We should study China in particular, which contained the virus effectively.
