At the March Citizens’ Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting, two members of Santa Clara were honored: Sergeant Joe Oliver (Police Department), and Driver Engineer Darrell Sales (Fire Department).

Police Chief Kevin Kyle delivered a presentation covering the exceptional career that Sergeant Oliver has had during his 25 years with the City. Likewise, Fire Chief Bill Kelly also delivered a presentation covering the exceptional career that Driver Engineer Darrell Sales has had during his 30 years with the City.

The CAC presented each of these Public Safety Honorees with a Plaque of Appreciation and a Letter of Recommendation. They were also presented with a box of chocolates that each man quickly gave to a special lady in their life.

As a member of the CAC, I was glad to be part of the evening’s events, but more than that, I appreciate such great men helping make Santa Clara such a wonderful city.
