Mark Zuckerberg and Black Lives Matter – Letter to the Editor

Mark Zuckerberg’s recent Black Lives Matter post feels just as performative as kids from my school posting a black square on Instagram who also choose not to call out their racist friends. How can you support Black Lives Matter if you are the one giving racists a platform to spread anti-Black Lives Matter narratives? What needs to happen is change. Change in policies, practices, and culture at Facebook if Mark Zuckerberg is truly an intentional ally of Black Lives Matter. Actions speak louder than words, Mr. Zuckerberg.
