Santa Clara and surrounding areas are beautiful, inhabited by cultured friendly people. Coming from India to stay with son and family, we highly enjoy our stay here. Your journal is very informative helping us to know what is going on here. But, one thing bothered me at some places, particularly east walkway of Homestead Road, growth from bushes in houses hinder safe movement of pedestrians. I do not know whose job and responsibility it is to trim the growth, city’s or property owner’s. I would be happy to have this issue resolved by the concerned.

The developer, Lamb Partners (Randy Lamb – Atherton Planning Commissioner) started to purchase the two single family homes along Monroe, 906 Monroe St. and 930 Monroe St. in Feb 2019 and Sep 2019 respectively. Santa Clara is the ONLY city in the entire State of California to have an elected Chief of Police. I contend that Santa Clarans don’t actually have a choice in selecting their Chief of Police. The current Chief of Police, Pat Nikolai, ran unopposed in his last two elections March 2020 and November 2020. Mike
