There is nothing wrong with repeated participation by Santa Clara business owners and residents at City Council meetings. I can understand the passion and activism of some of our “regulars.” However, there are times when some people act with a self appointed desire to hear themselves talk. One person has accused city staff of animal abuse and the 49ers working with the Macedonians, given her abysmal electoral record one wonders if the Russians are hacking her emails. The desire for an urban farm is an example of heroism, well deserved, but to put oneself the interests of residents lecturing them on the desire for makeshift homeless encampments in the middle of residential neighborhoods, moreover the moronic podcasting of the champion of transparency is also silly. Yes, the City Council is best served by diligent participation of the few for the money, but good sense and maturity of the few would be welcome.
